The West Australian Business News used Rider Levett Bucknall's expert opinion to bring attention to the increasing costs of construction.
Rider Levett Bucknall stated that the cost of construction has soared 68 per cent during the past five years, and is expected to rise a further 11 per cent this coming year.
However, due to the slowing down of the residential market, Rider Levett Bucknall Perth Director Alastair McMichael sees an upside, predicting the cost of bricklaying to fall and civil engineering work to ease on lower subdivision activity.
