Riders Melbourne Continues 10 Year Relationship With Crown

Rider Levett Bucknall Melbourne have been selected by Crown Melbourne Ltd to provide cost planning and estimating services on a project which will see the construction of the largest hotel in Australia. This latest project further cements the decade long relationship between Rider Levett Bucknall and Crown Melbourne Ltd.

Crown Melbourne Ltd today announced that the Crown Clarendon Street Hotel will be the "centrepiece of a $500 million-plus upgrade" for the existing Crown Casino and Entertainment Centre. With construction planned to begin this month and conclude in May of 2010, the hotel itself was today announced as being budgeted at an estimated $300 million.

Designed by internationally recognised architects Bates Smart, the hotel will boast 27 levels, 658 next-generation rooms, a 25 metre pool on its roof, a new shopping precinct and a futuristic podium entrance. It will be located on Clarendon street, just behind Melbourne's new 5,000 seat Convention Centre due to open in 2009.
