On Wednesday 1 August 2007 the new Rydges Hotel Campbelltown opened to the public and set a new benchmark for the Rydges Hotel chain.
Established in 1988 Rydges Hotels & Resorts is a rapidly expanding Australian-owned hotel chain with over thirty hotels in Australia, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
The Scott Carver designed Rydges hotel includes 116 rooms on 5 levels, including a range of room types from standard to premium suites as well as family and wheelchair accessible.
The ground floor of the hotel includes a premium quality restaurant, bar and microbrewery, in addition to entry foyer, amenities and hotel meeting rooms. There are also 2 levels of basement parking under the hotel.
Rydges Campbelltown is one of the first hotels to be built under the new Part J of the Building Code of Australia setting standards for energy and thermal performance.

Rider Levett Bucknall has had a long association with the Campbelltown Catholic Club and the design team headed up by Scott Carver.
To date Rider Levett Bucknall has been part of the team delivering many successful projects for the Catholic Club, including:
Rider Levett Bucknall's involvement with the Campbelltown Catholic Club is ongoing with the construction of the Exhibition Centre along side the hotel. Completion of the Exhibition Centre is expected to be in mid 2008.
The repeat business Rider Levett Bucknall has received from the Catholic Club is testament to their ability to perform and provide accurate and timely advice.
For all of the above projects Rider Levett Bucknall have had a full Quantity Surveying commission comprising: cost planning, Bills of Quantities, tender negotiation and assistance with Contract Administration.
Rider Levett Bucknall has been responsible for establishing and maintaining the project within the budget expectations of the Campbelltown Catholic Club. In order to achieve this outcome Rider Levett Bucknall has worked very closely with the Architects, Scott Carver and the design team.
