Rider Levett Bucknall Queensland has been appointed by Queensland Health to provide quantity surveying services for the $1 billion Sunshine Coast Hospital development.
The hospital is to be constructed on a 20 hectare greenfield site at Kawana Waters, Sunshine Coast. When completed in 2014, the development will provide in excess of 450 beds.
Analysis is currently under way to determine whether the project will proceed as a Public Private Partnership (PPP). If the partnership gets the green light, Sunshine Coast Hospital will become the largest PPP building project in Queensland.
Rider Levett Bucknall Project Director, Mr. Paul Megram comments: "Rider Levett Bucknall's wealth of experience in delivering PPP projects for both the government and private sectors, nationally and internationally, together with our expertise and experience in health facilities projects, will be invaluable throughout all phases of this project."
