Rider Levett Bucknall Wellington has won an initial three year contract to provide cost consultant services to a 20 year housing upgrade project by Wellington City Council.
The project will upgrade the council's social housing with a Government contribution of $220 million.
One of New Zealand's largest and most complex redevelopment projects, the council estate consists of over 2,300 units housing more than 4,000 tenants.
The works include improving thermal efficiencies through improved insulation and ventilation, earthquake-strengthening, external landscaping, and general refurbishment and reconfiguration.
