GPT's vision was to create a business park that would be the first choice for office accommodation outside of the Sydney CBD and to establish a new benchmark for sustainable suburban commercial office design. GPT delivered this vision. The final stage of the 22,500m2 development, Quad 4 was the first speculative office in NSW to achieve a 5 Star Green Star Design. All of the Quads have a minimum of a 4.5 Star NABERS energy rating and are 100% occupied.

All of the developments were leased within six months of completion, all of the tenants have renewed their lease, and all report high levels of satisfaction.
From inception, the Randwick facility was designed to be the finest residential aged care campus in Australia and to rival the very best in the world. Once a vacant brown field, the site now provides a premium level of health care in 5-star accommodation for 276 residents in low-care hostel, high-care nursing home and dementia specific settings. The 2.94-hectare site also incorporates an indoor hydrotherapy pool, a day care facility for the aged providing outreach services, hairdressing salon, boutique, cafe and substantial award-winning garden areas.

Grocon's AXA Centre is the winner of the 2009 Rider Levett Bucknall Award for Office Developments. It is the first building to be developed for the Grocon Property Trust of Australia and is the new Australasian headquarters for AXA. The project is a new generation ground scraper campus environment of six office levels above a retail podium that includes extensive meeting spaces, a child care facility, public artworks and car parking. It has been certified 5 Greenstars (Design V2) and is currently being assessed for an As Built rating.

7 London Circuit, Canberra, is a five storey A-Grade commercial development providing "two buildings in one" united by a floating roof that strikes a distinctive silhouette. Each building is fully self contained with its own internal closed atrium that serves as a through-site link. Building A is purpose designed to meet National ICT Australia's needs. Building B is designed with flexibility to accommodate single or multiple tenants seeking premium space. The development provided a catalyst for change and sets new standards in design, sustainability and placemaking for Canberra.

Extensive work has transformed The Sebel & Citigate into a modern corporate hotel. The refurbishment project was developed with utilisation of environmentally sustainable design principles. The project has resulted in significant and direct energy and water consumption reductions and carbon savings of 150,000 kg per year. The Sebel & Citigate, Albert Park, Melbourne will be one of the first hotels in Australia to receive NABERS energy and water ratings.

Adam Haddow was awarded the 40th Anniversary Churchill Fellowship in 2006 to study alternatives to conventional models of urban design. He is an elected Councillor of the NSW chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects where his emphasis is furthering discussion and debate about the future vision of our cities. Haddow is a Director of SJB Architects and a founding Director SJB Planning NSW. He writes for a number of publications and more than anything he loves to design and build buildings.

The City of Whittlesea considers that in-house preparation of high quality structure plans for the municipality's growth area is a core service of Council, and embarked on a long term program of planning for its growth areas in the late 1990's. This program displays civic leadership; provides certainty for the development community; and restores the focus of planning on well-founded strategic plans which achieve a municipal vision. The refurbished 101 Miller Street, a premium grade commercial building in North Sydney, sets a new sustainability performance benchmark for refurbished existing buildings. The state-of-the-art trigeneration plant, an Australian first for an existing premium building, significantly improves energy and GHG performance. The project achieved a 5 Star Green Star rating (Office Design V2) and has produced a simulated 5 Star + 40% NABERS Energy rating. Additionally, tenants can achieve a 5 Star NABERS Energy (tenancy) rating with minimal capital outlay.
This landmark North Sydney tower, the only premium grade commercial building outside the Sydney CBD, is now an award winning sustainable redevelopment. Bendigo and Adelaide Bank commissioned Gray Puksand + BVN Architecture to design the new corporate headquarters in Bendigo. There are many environmentally sustainable initiatives in the building design including an underfloor air-conditioning system and black water recycling. Extensive thermal modelling, natural light illumination and alternative water management strategies were explored in order for the building to achieve a 5 Star Green Star Design Rating. These are paramount in the Bank's aim to provide a leading responsible development for the community.

The Gauge, the evolutionary workplace by Lend Lease at Victoria Harbour in Melbourne's Docklands, was the first building in Australia to receive a 6 Star Green Star - Office As Built v2 Certification rating. The features of The Gauge combine to contribute to a waste water reduction of 92% and a 30% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions when compared to a typical 5 Star Green Star office building.

Landcom's Prince Henry Masterplan is guiding rejuvenation of a former hospital site into a new residential/community precinct, balancing the old and the new while keeping 80% of the site in public ownership and creating a showcase of coastal urban renewal. There will be around 1000 dwellings, including aged care and affordable housing as well as open space and community facilities providing for a diverse living community. The Masterplan provides a model for redevelopment of similar heritage and environmentally sensitive areas.
With a terrific blueprint from which to begin, Prince Henry at Little Bay is an inspiring fusion of historical and contemporary design. Drawing from the sites naturally dramatic context, the master plan is respectful of both the natural and built environment.
